Stila Sheer Colour Tinted Moisturizer - Dealz

In a recent post I was giddy with excitement over Stila products being available for the amazing price of €1.49 in Dealz. Excitement hit me once again when I went into Dealz in Omni Park where they had ‘Stila Sheer Colour Tinted Moisturizer’ in shade A. In my local Dealz they only had shade B which I thought would be too dark for me so I didn’t buy it. I was delighted to find shade ‘A’ in The Omni!

I have wanted to try tinted moisturiser for ages. It is just something I never got round to buying. I have quite good skin, I have never really got any spots even in my teen years. The only problem I do have is that my skin is quite dry. Lately however since I have been using The Body Shop Beautifying oil my dry skin on my face has improved so much. It is the perfect time to test tinted moisturiser.

It's slightly too dark for my skin tone
This Stila moisturiser comes in a 50ml tube and is SPF30. It has a scent that smells slightly like sun cream. At first the product was a bit watery but soon turned a normal shade. The colour is slightly too dark for my skin. It also makes my skin quite itchy so I don't think I would use it again.

Overall quite disappointed with this product. However, since it was only €1.49 it was worth a try.

Have you tried this Stila moisturiser or is there any other tinted moisturisers you would recommend?

Stila Bargains!

With rumours going around the Internet that Stila products were in Poundland I began to get very excited. In hope that they were in the Irish version of Poundland (Dealz) I asked the Irish bloggers on Twitter had they seen any in Dealz. Word soon got back to me that Aundrea from dancin with disaster had got her hands on some. Hearing this I was then on a mission. I was determined to get myself some Stila!

I ran to my nearest Dealz and zoomed over to the make up. I nearly gave up and then I spotted Stila boxes underneath the make up. I picked up Angel Light Whitening Powder Foundation and Angel Light Whitening Powder Foundation sponges. The products came in small white boxes. In each box was 3 foundations and in the other  6 foundation sponges. (I think there was a mistake and they should have been sold on their own) This was great news for me though as I got loads of Stila products for €3.00!

Angel Light Whitening Powder Foundation in the colour in Shade B, €1.50 for 3! At first I thought it would be too dark for my skin but it blends in perfectly. It's a lovely soft silky finish.

Angel Light Whitening Powder Foundation Sponges

If you want an amazing baragin get yourself to Dealz as soon as you can. I'm going to pop back in and pick up more of the foundation. For €1.49 you can not go wrong!

Dupe of Bourjois Paris 'Magic Nail Polish Remover for €1.49!

Bourjois Paris 'Magic Nail Polish Remover' as been everywhere lately. On blogs, in magazines and advertised in shops. I totally fell for the hype and really wanted to get my hands on it. I went into Boots to look for it and discovered it was nearly €7! I don't know it just seemed a lot to pay for nail polish remover! I decided against buying it but I still was quite intrigued by it and put it on my maybe list.

While in Dealz yesterday I came across a product that looks EXACTLY like the Bourjois version and as always with all Dealz items it was only €1.49. Both products come in a small pink tub with foam inside. The Dealz version has white foam not black like the Bourjois.

Inside the Tub

To remove your nail polish you put your finger in the tube, twist the tub around in a circle and remove finger and voilĂ  your nail polish is gone! So does this cheap as chips Dealz version work?? YES! Amazingly it works really well. It does have a strong nail polish smell in the tub but this doesn't transfer to fingers. I have read reviews on blogs that say the Bourjois version also smells very strong in the tub so don't let that put you off. It does contain acetone though if you prefer acetone free stick with the Bourjois version.

Overall for €1.49 this product is pretty amazing! I was quite happy with this little bargain!

Rescue Oil: Rescue My Dry Skin!

If you are a regular reader to my blog you will know I'm a tiny bit obsessed with Dealz. I find the most amazing bargains there so I'm totally obsessed. My latest bargain is brilliant if any of you suffer from dry skin. No matter what product I try I always have dry skin on my face. It drives me crazy! I picked up Rescue Oil in Dealz on a whim to see if it would help my dry skin dilemma.

Rescue oil is a small orange bottle with a blend of natural oils, containing Vitamin E, Evening Primrose oil, Almond oil and Peach Kernal oil. I mix a few drops of Rescue Oil with some moisturiser and put on my face at night. While it hasn't completely cured my dry skin it has improved it greatly. It doesn't look as flakey or dry anymore. (So long looking like a snake!)  Rescue Oil Lotion can also help with:
  • Ageing Skin
  • Scar Tissue
  • Blemished Skin
  • Treatment and prevention of stretch marks
  • Before, during and after pregnancy massage oil
  • After Sun Treatment
  • Dry, dehydrated skin conditions
Top Left: Top of bottle     Bottom Left: Drops on hand.
It has similar ingredients to Bio Oil but is much cheaper. It also claims to help with a lot of the same problems. The oil has a pleasant rose or flower scent and is not too greasy on the skin. For €1.49 it is a complete bargain. I would definitely buy this again.

Astor Lipsticks!

Astor is a make up brand that I only came across recently. It's very popular in main land Europe with Heidi Klum as the face of the brand. I have tried one other Astor product before click here! and quite liked it. So when I seen more Astor lipsticks in my local Dealz I snapped them up! (Each lipstick is the bargain price of €1.49!) I picked up two 'Rouge Couture' lipsticks in the shades 205 'Red Couture' and 101 'Ballerina Pink'.

The first thing that struck me about these lipsticks is the packaging. I love the design of the lipsticks. They look and feel a lot more expensive than the €1.49 I paid for them. (The usual RRP is £8.99)  Astor claim Rouge Couture lipsticks have 'Impact and shine worthy of the most dazzling high-fashion catwalks' the lipsticks 'Wrap your lips in luxurious silk, with intense, alluring sculpting colours that last up to 9 hours! The delicious creamy texture enriched with premium silk fibers magnifies lips in an effortless application. Luminospheres pigments deliver exceptional coverage and superior shine for rich vibrant colours that last. The sculpting, high definition formula draws lip contours with precious, vivid colour.'

Both lipsticks are really pigmented. The red is a gorgeous shade which I LOVE! The pink is not far off hot pink. It's a few shades down from Barry M 52. Both lipsticks smell lovely, slightly like sweets? They feel really moisturising on the lips and don't dry lips at all.

When swatched the pink is lighter than Barry M 52
Side by side it looks like Barry M 52

If you live near a Dealz store I would definitely recommend to snap these up! Really pigmented, moisturising, nice smelling lipstick for €1.49? You would be mad not to buy them!

With St. Patrick's day only 10 days away I'm starting to get a bit excited. I LOVE St. Patrick's Day. (Any excuse to paint my face and go a bit mad with colour!) I love the parades, the colours and the national pride that takes over Ireland for one day. (And other places throughout the world!) It's so easy to get into the St. Patrick's Day spirit. It can be something small from green nail polish to going all out with green jeans, crazy eyeshadow and a leprechaun hat. It doesn't have to break the bank either with great bargains from €1.49 there is no excuse not to join in!

Leprechaun hat, Dealz €1.49
Orange belt, H&M €3.95
Green High Heals, Dunnes Stores €20
Cardigan, H&M €24.95
Jeans, Penneys €13
Sleek Acid I-Divine Palette, Sleek.com €8.50
Green Bag, H&M €9.95
Ornage Nail Polish, Catrice €2.79
Irish Princess Tiara, Dealz €1.49

The Sleek Acid I-Divine Palette has the perfect colours for St. Patrick's Day!

Colours Swatched. No primer was used. For a more vibrant colour use Urban Decay Potion Primer before applying.

On my own nails I'm going to wear MNY 753- Lime Green/ Electric Green. It's a gorgeous green with a pearl aspect to it! This will be teamed with an orange dress from Penneys. I have no doubt that a huge leprechaun hat will also be worn!

Will you be getting into the St. Patrick's Day Celebrations this year?
