Pixi Makeup

Tk Maxx is fast becoming one of my favourite places to shop for make up. I picked up this bargain a few weeks ago for €3.99 and I'm delighted with it!

I had never heard of Pixi make up before but seeing as it was only €3.99 (RRP €33.99!!) I decided ah sure I might as well buy it. Pixi is a make up brand started in Soho London over 10 years ago. It's aim is to create 'just had a good nights sleep look'.This palette is called the 'Pixi wakeup palette' and contains 2 eye primers/concealers, 18 eye shadows 2 blusher duos and 8 lip glosses.

The Main sections consists of the eye shadows and the two primers/concealers. The primers do make the eye shadow more vibrant but they are no Urban Decay primer. The eye shadows however, I am really impressed with. I LOVE the shades. I still have not bought the Urban Decay Naked palette yet so I was delighted to find a nude eye shadow palette for so cheap.

The eye shadows are quite pigmented and are even better with a primer underneath. They are quite small but then again you do get 18 to choose from.

The palette also comes with two blusher duos. I love the pink blush! The highlight shade that is beside it works really well with the pink. It's shimmery without being over the top. I can even wear it to work. The darker blush I don't really use but would be perfect for those who like to contour their face.

Also included is 8 lip glosses. I'm not much of a lip gloss wearer I usually stick with my lipstick, however I must say I am impressed with the pigment of these lip glosses. The darker shades are really vibrant on the lips while the lighter shades have a nice sheer element to them. If your into your lip glosses I'd say you would love them.

Overall for €3.99 I think I got a FANTASTIC bargain! :)

TK Maxx Bargains

TK Maxx has become my go to shop for beauty bargains! Its doesn't help that I have to walk past it on my way home from work...  Anyway here is what I picked up:

I have wanted to buy Ecotools makeup brushes for ages but have never seemed to have got round to it. However, when I saw these beauties in TK MAXX for €3.99 I had to pick them up! The brushes cost about twice that in boots so I was trilled with this little bargain.  The brushes I picked were the Bamboo Deluxe Concealer Brush and Bamboo Eye Shadow Brush. Both brushes are super soft and feel really sturdy to hold.  Each brush has a highly sustainable bamboo handle, 100% cruelty free talkon brushes and recycled aluminium ferrule. Ecotools are designed to be 'earth friendly brushes that shows respect for the planet'. I'm VERY pleased with this find :)

I also picked up some lovely Eyeko products. I have been dying to try Eyeko since I saw them featured on Thunder+Threads. I picked up a set for €9.99 that included 'Graffiti Eyeliner Pen', 'Line and Shine Duo Colour Pencil for the Eyes' and 'Liptastick Glossy Lip Pen'.

The  'Graffiti Eye liner Pen' is very black which I like. As it is a pen shape it makes lining the eyes much easier than using a normal eye liner.

The 'Line and Shine Duo Colour Pencil for the Eyes' is fantastic for adding some colour to your eyes. It comes one end in 'Electric Blue' and the other in 'Teal'.

The 'Liptastick Glossy Lip Pen' has to be my favourite Eyeko product. The colour (Hot Lips) is amazing. It's very pigmented and glossy. I love the fact that it comes in pen form for easy application yet you don't have to sharpen it. All you have to do is twist the bottom, this will push up more product.

I hope TK Maxx keeps up these brilliant beauty bargains!

Stila Lipstick

TK Maxx has been in my local town for a while now but I never seemed to find the time to go in. Recently while hunting for winter boots I ventured in and boy was I happy I did! What did I find?  Make up BARGINS! I found this lovely Stila lipstick inside for €3! Yes €3 euro!!! RRP is €17 !

The shade I picked is called ‘Georgina’.  It is a very creamy sheer lipstick. This is perfect for me for work as I can add colour to my lips without them being too dramatic or noticeable. It feels very moisturising on the lips which I like and also has vitamins A, C and E and SPF 20. It has a very strong scent which is kind of suncream meets vanilla but I don’t mind this.

Swatch on my arm

My favourite thing about this lipstick is the packaging which is gorgeous! The outside is sliver while inside has a lovely flower pattern. I thought this was really unusual and really made the product seem more expensive than a usual lipstick.

A Great lipstick for work at the bargain price of €3!
