Beauty Battle: Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is one of my favourite beauty items. I have a fringe (Bangs if your in America!) and it can go greasy within a couple of hours of washing it. Dry shampoo totally comes to my rescue! For years my number one dry shampoo was Batiste. I loved it and found it amazing. However with new dry shampoo products available now will Batiste still come out at the top?

Batiste Original - The original dry shampoo. I used the original for years and it has saved me many hair related heart ache. It works well and the handy 50ml is perfect for your handbag.

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo - I love this product! It's super cheap about €1.99 in Penneys and €1.49 in Dealz. The name of this dry shampoo is not great but I do love the product inside. It smells totally different to Batiste more like a body spray. It doesn't leave any white residue that Batiste can sometimes leave.

Batiste Tropical - I love the smell of this version. Out of all the Batiste products this is my favourite. Gives the hair a gorgeous tropical scent that lasts as well as revitalising.

Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Morning After Dry Shampoo - I have also tried Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Morning After Dry Shampoo in the past. At €8.29 a bottle it is not worth it. It works well but it's not worth the price!

So we have a winner! Despite the awful name Girlz Only wins as it's super cheap, smells great and works better than Batiste!

Monthly Empties!

I actually have not used up many products this month, so I only have  a few to show you.

Product - L'oreal Paris Elnett Satin Supreme Hold
Price - I think it was about €6 which is a bit expensive for hairspray but it is worth it.
What did I think? - I love this hairspray. It holds your hair without making it hard. It also brushes out which is amazing.
Would I buy again? - Yes without a doubt!

Product - Girlz Only Dry Shampoo
Price - €1.99
What did I think? - LOVE this dry shampoo. I find it's the best dry shampoo out there and is only €1.99!
Would I buy again? -  YES!

Product - Percy & Reed Splendidly Silky Moisturising Conditioner
Price - Free with Glamour Magazine (I think it's about €15 to buy)
What did I think? - I wasn't impressed with this product at all. It did no more for my hair than my usual €1.45 conditioner from Alberto Balsam.
Would I buy again? - Not a chance

Product -  Revlon ColourStay in 110 Ivory
Price - €10 from shop beside Argos in The Ilac Centre (It used to be in Georges Street Arcade)
What did I think? - It's the perfect shade for my milk bottle skin. Love it.
Would I buy again? -  Yes I'm on my 6th bottle I think at this stage!

So that is it till next month! :)

Better than Batiste ??

Dry Shampoo can sometimes be my best friend. Not only do I have hair that gets greasy very quickly but I also have a fringe! (bangs for any American readers! :) ) Dry shampoo gives my fringe extra volume and also revives it when it starts to look stringy. For years I have been using Batiste dry shampoo and loved it. It saved many a dodgy hair day!

Recently however, Batiste is sitting unused on my shelf as I have found an even better dry shampoo. My new love is 'Girlz only' dry shampoo. Ok so the name is a bit crap but look beyond it!

What do I love about this product? Firstly it's much cheaper than Batiste at €1.99. I love the colours it comes  in, (sorry Batiste but you don't look as pretty.) It has a nice scent that is not overpowering. Most importantly it is only slightly grey which brushes out easily. Batiste sometimes left me looking like a granny! I  had so much grey in my hair despite brushing like crazy! My hair looks fresh and washed after a few sprays. This is definitely one of my top haves! :)

What do you think is this better than Batiste??
