Rescue Oil: Rescue My Dry Skin!

If you are a regular reader to my blog you will know I'm a tiny bit obsessed with Dealz. I find the most amazing bargains there so I'm totally obsessed. My latest bargain is brilliant if any of you suffer from dry skin. No matter what product I try I always have dry skin on my face. It drives me crazy! I picked up Rescue Oil in Dealz on a whim to see if it would help my dry skin dilemma.

Rescue oil is a small orange bottle with a blend of natural oils, containing Vitamin E, Evening Primrose oil, Almond oil and Peach Kernal oil. I mix a few drops of Rescue Oil with some moisturiser and put on my face at night. While it hasn't completely cured my dry skin it has improved it greatly. It doesn't look as flakey or dry anymore. (So long looking like a snake!)  Rescue Oil Lotion can also help with:
  • Ageing Skin
  • Scar Tissue
  • Blemished Skin
  • Treatment and prevention of stretch marks
  • Before, during and after pregnancy massage oil
  • After Sun Treatment
  • Dry, dehydrated skin conditions
Top Left: Top of bottle     Bottom Left: Drops on hand.
It has similar ingredients to Bio Oil but is much cheaper. It also claims to help with a lot of the same problems. The oil has a pleasant rose or flower scent and is not too greasy on the skin. For €1.49 it is a complete bargain. I would definitely buy this again.

Matthew Williamson Bag for £5 !

Ever since Matthew Williamson's 2009 collection with H&M I have fallen in love with his clothes. I worked in H&M at the time so I was able to grab some great bargains. Including a gorgeous sarong which I wear as a scarf. I love the bright bold colours mixed with the amazing designs. When I learned Sainsbury's are collaborating with Matthew Williamson for Sport Relief I was very envious of those living in England! Unfortunately there are no Sainsbury’s Stores in the South of Ireland so I will have to turn to Ebay top get my hands on these amazing bags!

The bags are available in three colours, Pink, turquoise and mint. All the bags are decorated with an exotic banana leaf print. I'm obsessed with the turquoise blue and I'm dying to get my hands on it! Matthew Williamson spoke about the collaboration commenting "Sport Relief supports projects which are very dear to my heart and I consider it an honour that I'm able to join forces with Sainsbury's to help raise money for Sport Relief with these stylish shoppers".

Each bag is only £5 with £1.50 going to Sport Relief. A Matthew Williamson bag AND helping charity? BARGAIN! Get to Sainsbury's quick before these fabulous beauties are all gone!

Bargain of the Week!

It's been ages since my last Bargain of the Week, but I just had to share a brilliant bargain from Penneys/Primark. While browsing in Penneys yesterday I went into the home ware section to see if they had anything interesting and  came across this little gem!

This hot pink accessory hanger was only €2! It's so handy for hanging up necklaces so they don't get tangled. (I have a pocket organiser from Penneys already, but this is far better for storing necklaces.) It can also be used to hang up scarfs, belts or anything you can think of really! It has a velvet texture making it look more expensive than €2! The top is like the top of a clothes hanger so it's really strong and can hold up to 2kg worth of accessories!

This is perfect for me to help organise my jewellery and to keep it tangle free!

Will you be buying one of these?

Bargain Make up Storage!

Ever since an episode of the Kardashions which showed their make up storage boxes I have been in Storage envy. However, there is just no way I can justify spending over a €100 to get a storage system like theirs! Recently I bought a storage tower in Atlantic Homecare for €10. It has three drawers and I was quite happy with it. Yesterday however I came across the most amazing storage bargain EVER. While in Dealz (The Irish version of Poundland) I came across storage towers for €1.49! To make things even better they are the perfect size for storing cosmetics.

For €1.49 each I think this is brilliant! What do you think will you be buying one?

Bargain of the Week!

While posting a letter yesterday I popped into my local chemist. They had a box on the counter with a mixture of Essence products for 50 cent!  I had a look inside and buried under the Essence products was a Gosh Lip Liner also 50 cent! (Usually €7.99)

The liner is a gorgeous hot pink colour. The formula is creamy and non scratchy. (Unlike Gosh eyeliners I have tried in the past!) The colour is also quite pigmented. It contains it contains vitamin E and jojoba oil. (I have no idea what the hell jojoba oil is but it sounds good!) There products are also cruelty free which I always like to hear.

For some reason the swatch is looking more orange in the photos, in real life it is hot pink!
Overall not bad for 50 cent! Definitely my bargain of the week!

Revlon and Soap and Glory Bargains!

I have tried to stop buying so much cosmetics but with so many great bargains out there I can't seem to stop... :( Here is my latest bargains!

I picked up this gorgeous Revlon nail polish for €1.49 in the new shop in Ireland 'Dealz'. They also have Sally Hanson and Rimmel bargains all for €1.49!! I think they are all old colours but there are still some gorgeous items. I love this Revlon nail polish in the colour 'Galaxy'. It's perfect for the party season. I painted it over a Nails Inc polish in the photo below.

I'm sure you are all sick of looking at this by now, but here is the bargain 'Soap and Glory Big Splendour' set. This set is reduced from €81 to €30 (which works out as €3 for each item and a huge vanity case!) I raced down to my local Boots for 9 o' clock to get my hands on a set for me and one for my sister. I couldn't believe how BIG they were! It was a struggle to carry them!

The products come in a huge pink vanity case and included inside are:
  • Clean On Me™ Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel - 500ml
  • The Righteous Butter™ Body Butter - 300ml
  • Pulp Friction™ Body Scrub - 300ml
  • Face, Soap & Clarity™ Fresh Facial Wash - 150ml
  • 25 Off Your Face™ Cleansing Wipes
  • Heel Genius Foot™ Cream - 125ml
  • Hand Food Hand™ Cream - 125ml
  • Mist You Madly™ Fragrant Body Spray - 250ml
  • Sexy Mother Pucker™ Lip Plumper In Candy Gloss - 7ml
  • Calm One, Calm All™ Bubble Bath - 500ml.

My 'Face Soap'  came with a big chunk of the product  missing... hhhmmmm  :(

I have only used a couple of Soap and Glory's products in the past so I am very excited to try these items out! I will do a review in about a month to let you know how I got on with the products. Hurry up to Boots if you want one as they wont be around for long!!

Product of the Week!

Just going to do a quick post on my favourite product of the week. I was in Boots yesterday browsing with a friend when I came across this GORGEOUS product! :)

This product smells simply amazing! It smells like sweets or milkshake! As soon as I smelled it I knew I had to buy it. It's made from Vanilla Milk and Raspberry and has 100% natural fragrances. It is vegan friendly and not tested on animals! It smells so divine you feel like you could actually eat it! It also lathers well and makes your skin smell gorgeous! I definitely will repurchase again and again! Bargain for €2.65 ! Once you smell this you will not be able to resist buying :)

Perfume Surprise

One day in Boots smelling the perfume, I came across an Ed Hardy Perfume I really liked. (I can’t remember the name of it… sorry!) However, looking at the price I nearly fell over in shock €60!!!! I sighed and sprayed it on me and continued shopping. I headed over to Marks and Spencer’s as I had to get clothes for work. (snooze!) Its no surprise I took a detour through the beauty section. By chance I decided to smell some of the perfumes and to my amazement I came across a very similar perfume to the Ed Hardy one in Boots!

This perfume is called 'Adored' and is so similar to the Ed Hardy perfume! Both perfumes have a citrus fruity smell which I really love. The only negative thing about 'Adored' is I find that the smell doesn't stay too long on the skin so you have to reapply throughout the day. It was a great buy at €8 however! :) 'Adored' was also in a special offer if you bought a perfume you could get another for half price so I picked up 'Bohemia'.

Unfortunately, I don't like 'Bohemia' as much as 'Adored'. I think I was drawn by the pretty bottle! Bohemia is a blend of lemon, blueberry, bergamot, lily of the valley, mimosa, cedarwood, amber and vanilla. Its nice but not wonderful. I would not buy again and I'm raging I didn't get a second 'Adored'. Oh well at only €12 for both of them I cant complain too much!

TK Maxx Bargains

TK Maxx has become my go to shop for beauty bargains! Its doesn't help that I have to walk past it on my way home from work...  Anyway here is what I picked up:

I have wanted to buy Ecotools makeup brushes for ages but have never seemed to have got round to it. However, when I saw these beauties in TK MAXX for €3.99 I had to pick them up! The brushes cost about twice that in boots so I was trilled with this little bargain.  The brushes I picked were the Bamboo Deluxe Concealer Brush and Bamboo Eye Shadow Brush. Both brushes are super soft and feel really sturdy to hold.  Each brush has a highly sustainable bamboo handle, 100% cruelty free talkon brushes and recycled aluminium ferrule. Ecotools are designed to be 'earth friendly brushes that shows respect for the planet'. I'm VERY pleased with this find :)

Concealer Brush

Eye Shadow Brush

I also picked up some lovely Eyeko products. I have been dying to try Eyeko since I saw them featured on Thunder+Threads. I picked up a set for €9.99 that included 'Graffiti Eyeliner Pen', 'Line and Shine Duo Colour Pencil for the Eyes' and 'Liptastick Glossy Lip Pen'.

The  'Graffiti Eye liner Pen' is very black which I like. As it is a pen shape it makes lining the eyes much easier than using a normal eye liner.

The 'Line and Shine Duo Colour Pencil for the Eyes' is fantastic for adding some colour to your eyes. It comes one end in 'Electric Blue' and the other in 'Teal'.

The 'Liptastick Glossy Lip Pen' has to be my favourite Eyeko product. The colour (Hot Lips) is amazing. It's very pigmented and glossy. I love the fact that it comes in pen form for easy application yet you don't have to sharpen it. All you have to do is twist the bottom, this will push up more product.

I hope TK Maxx keeps up these brilliant beauty bargains!

2True Benefit dupes??

Ever since Glamour magazine gave away free mini Benefit cheek and lip tints I have kept my eye out for similar products. While in Superdrug in the Omni I came across a brand called 2true which attempts to recreate Benefit's best selling Bene Tint and Posie Tint. The Benefit versions cost €33.50 each!! So how does 2true for €2.00 a bottle hold up?

The first Cheek 'n' Lip Tint is a copy of Bene Tint. It's a rose tinted colour exactly like Bene Tint. The scents are different but the colour is very similar. The 2true tint dries faster than the Benefit version so you have to blend faster.

2true on the left, Benefit on right
Formula very similar

At first glance the 2true 'Blush Pink' looks quite different from Pose Tint. The pink is a lot brighter very very pink. It also appears to be a lot thicker than Pose Tint.

2true VERY pink on Left , Pose Tint on Right

However, when the two are swatched beside each other and blended they begin to look quite similar.

2True on Left, Benefit on Right

Overall I do think Benefit is the better product but at more than €30 more expensive than 2true I think I will stick with my lovely 2True bargain. For €2.00 this product is amazing!
