Dupe of Bourjois Paris 'Magic Nail Polish Remover for €1.49!

Bourjois Paris 'Magic Nail Polish Remover' as been everywhere lately. On blogs, in magazines and advertised in shops. I totally fell for the hype and really wanted to get my hands on it. I went into Boots to look for it and discovered it was nearly €7! I don't know it just seemed a lot to pay for nail polish remover! I decided against buying it but I still was quite intrigued by it and put it on my maybe list.

While in Dealz yesterday I came across a product that looks EXACTLY like the Bourjois version and as always with all Dealz items it was only €1.49. Both products come in a small pink tub with foam inside. The Dealz version has white foam not black like the Bourjois.

Inside the Tub

To remove your nail polish you put your finger in the tube, twist the tub around in a circle and remove finger and voilĂ  your nail polish is gone! So does this cheap as chips Dealz version work?? YES! Amazingly it works really well. It does have a strong nail polish smell in the tub but this doesn't transfer to fingers. I have read reviews on blogs that say the Bourjois version also smells very strong in the tub so don't let that put you off. It does contain acetone though if you prefer acetone free stick with the Bourjois version.

Overall for €1.49 this product is pretty amazing! I was quite happy with this little bargain!

Essence: Snow White Limited Edition

How AMAZING is this new collection from Essence? Essences have collaborated with Disney to create this fab Snow White Limited Edition. Unfortunately there are only nail products. I would have loved maybe a Snow White blush or lipstick but I will definitely be happy enough with the nail polish!

The basic nail polish are in gorgeous summer colours with ’Snow White’ printed on them. There is one red one that is randomly bigger than the others, a bit strange! They all have great names 01 snow white (The random big red one!), 02 grumpy, 03 doc, 04 happy, 05 sneezy, 06 sleepy, 07 bashful and 08 dopey.

I absolutely LOVE the nail toppers in this range. They are designed to bring ‘a fairy tale to your finger tips!’ They are available in 01 evil queen, 02 the huntsman and 03 prince charming. They are very similar to Catrice’s Million Style range which was supposed to hit Irish shelves in April but I still haven’t seen them yet.

The nail stickers are pretty cute. I don’t think I would wear them but I’m sure they will sell out quick! I do like the nail file though so I might buy that! I really hope Essence do more collaborations with Disney. I would love some Beauty and the Beast or Pocahontas items!

Unfortunately you will have to wait till July before you can get your paws on them. What do you think? Does anything catch your eye?

Summer Scents!

Summer has finally arrived in Ireland! The arrival of hotter temperatures to our shores has me in a very summery mood. The new body mists by The Body Shop are the perfect summer scent to match my mood! The new mists come in the scents Pink Grapefruit, Coconut, Strawberry, Satsuma, Mango, Shea, Moringa and Vanilla.

At The Body Shop bloggers event I was lucky enough to receive two of these new mists in my goody bag. I got the gorgeous Mango and Coconut mists. Both mists smell amazing. They are light and refreshing, perfect for hot summer days. What I really love about the sprays is that they are made from Fair Trade ingredients and 100% not tested on animals! So while you smell delicious you are helping improve the lives of people and animals around the world. (Not bad for a body mist eh?!)

The only negative thing I found with the body mists is that they come in glass bottles. I like to throw a body mist in my handbag but I would worry about these in case they smashed. (I’m verrrry accident prone!) I will pour some into a travel bottle though so I can keep one on me when I’m on the go. (Little bottles are also great for when you’re travelling and have to squash so many items in the plastic airport bag…!) I hope you all enjoy the fab weather!

Beauty Battle: Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is one of my favourite beauty items. I have a fringe (Bangs if your in America!) and it can go greasy within a couple of hours of washing it. Dry shampoo totally comes to my rescue! For years my number one dry shampoo was Batiste. I loved it and found it amazing. However with new dry shampoo products available now will Batiste still come out at the top?

Batiste Original - The original dry shampoo. I used the original for years and it has saved me many hair related heart ache. It works well and the handy 50ml is perfect for your handbag.

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo - I love this product! It's super cheap about €1.99 in Penneys and €1.49 in Dealz. The name of this dry shampoo is not great but I do love the product inside. It smells totally different to Batiste more like a body spray. It doesn't leave any white residue that Batiste can sometimes leave.

Batiste Tropical - I love the smell of this version. Out of all the Batiste products this is my favourite. Gives the hair a gorgeous tropical scent that lasts as well as revitalising.

Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Morning After Dry Shampoo - I have also tried Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Morning After Dry Shampoo in the past. At €8.29 a bottle it is not worth it. It works well but it's not worth the price!

So we have a winner! Despite the awful name Girlz Only wins as it's super cheap, smells great and works better than Batiste!

New Kate Moss Lipstick New Shade 02

With Summer just around the corner it's time for some Summer lipsticks. Kate Moss has once again collaborated with Rimmel to bring out a new Spring Collection. Added to her Lipstick range is a gorgeous hot pink lipstick in the shade 02.

The pink is highly pigmented and feels quite moisturising on the lips. I wore a layer of Lipcote over the lipstick and it lasted about 5 hours. Like the older shades, shade 02 has quite a nice scent. The packaging like the previous colours is a black bullet with Kate's signature on the end.

I picked it up for the bargain price of €4.95. Most chemists have this on special at the moment so keep an eye out! This will definitely be packed into my suitcase for my holiday. It's the perfect Summer colour.

*Edit- I just realised I picked up the wrong shade and the new colour in 20 not 02! >:( The new pink lighter than my 02! It's the shade Kate is wearing in the picture though.

Beauty Bomb: Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara

About a month ago my Mam gave me Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara. She got it free with Elle Magazine and decided to give it to me. I had never tried Soap & Glory's make-up before so I was excited to try it out. It usually retails at £10/€14 so I had quite high hopes!

I have quite small lashes so I do love lengthening mascara. This mascara is designed to 'create amazingly, longer, fuller, fabulous lashes.' This seemed perfect for me! So did it live up to my expectations??

I'm so disappointed but I found it AWFUL! I hate both the formula and the brush. The brush is too big while the formula is weird. One eye looked all spidery while the other eye my eyelashes just stuck together in a clumped mess. No length and no volume. Disaster! I ended up having to remove all my eye make-up and starting again. (The same happened the second time so I just gave up!) I would have been raging if I had spent €14 on it! It would make me very wary about trying out other make-up products from Soap & Glory.

Have you tried Thick and Fast Mascara or any other Soap & Glory products?

The Body Shop 'Beauty with Heart' Event!

It was with great excitement I went along to The Body Shops 'Beauty with Heart' event. It was my first ever bloggers event so you can guess just how excited I was! The Body Shop put on such an AMAZING show. From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a glass of champagne, strawberries,a chocolate fountain and lots of delicious cakes!

The delicious goodies!!!
While I waited for the event to start I met two LOVELY bloggers the lovely Kate from sleepingbootay and the lovely Celeste from madamesmadeup. (Check out their fantastic blogs!) Shampoo and Beauty were also at the event and curled Kate's hair. Her hair looked amazing! I was well jealous ha ha!

The Body Shop team then explained to us about the new launch 'Beauty with Heart'. I was really impressed with this new beauty movement. The Body Shop is launching a movement that challenges convention and pushes the boundaries of beauty. Their aim is to promote beauty as more than skin deep. They want their products to enhance your natural beauty rather than trying to hide under layers and layers of products. They hope that their customers:

Look Good
By using products that are powered by nature and rich in high quality ingredients.

Feel Good
By knowing the products come from an ethical brand.

Do Good
By using the products you are helping the environment, fair trade and animal welfare

The Body Shop team also showed us the new make up products including the new range from Lily Cole their first EVER activist! Very exciting!!

To top off a wonderful night they gave us a fantastic goody bag on the way out!
My amazing goody bag!! :D
Thanks so much to The Body Shop Ireland for such a brilliant night!

Garnier Bodytonic Firming Cream

I'm off to the sun in a few weeks, so I have been trying to look my best. I picked up Garnier's Bodytonic in Tesco in the hope it would improve my legs before they see the sun. (They have been in hiding for a long time so they were in desperate need of some TLC!) This bodytonic promises smoother, firmer skin in just 7 days. So is this a wonder product or just an all talk and no action product?

This bodytonic is a cocktail of Moisturising Milk with Seaweed Extract along with Citrus Extract and Caffeine. The mix of different ingredients claim to target stubborn areas. The smell of the cream might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I have to say I love it. It has a lovely citrus scent that I find really refreshing. The cream itself absorbed really quickly and didn't make my skin feel greasy. So the big question did it work?

Belief it or not the difference it made to my skin has been amazing! Before I used this cream my legs were really really dry. They were so dry I was always scratching them and was permanently covered in scrapes and scars. My legs currently have no scratches on them at all and feel so much smoother. They no longer drive me up the wall being super itchy! I just wish I found this cream earlier! I would definitely buy again in fact I might stock up on it in case it is only a summer product. LOVE IT!

Kim Kardashion Gold

I’m a tiny bit obsessed with E! so I’m addicted to watching The Kardashions. I know its terrible TV but I can’t help it. It’s my guilty pleasure. When I was in London in October I smelled Kim Kardashion's perfume ‘Gold’. I loved it and have wanted it ever since. (I don’t like the red one just the Gold one!) After six months of lusting after it I finally bought it for €29.50.

Kim describes the perfume as ‘Gold is a luxury that stands the test of time, a universal symbol of sophistication and glamour. Like a stunning piece of precious jewellery, Gold lends everyday style a surge of seductive sparkle and timeless beaut."

I am hopeless as describing perfume but if you like sweet perfumes you will like this one! I love the bottle I think it’s quite pretty. I do like the logo of the two k’s back to back. I was slightly disappointed when I opened it, as it's TINY only 30ml. I will have to be careful not to get spray happy with this one! I really love this perfume it’s a lot nicer than her other perfume. If you’re in Debenhams give Gold a try!

Monthly Empties!

I actually have not used up many products this month, so I only have  a few to show you.

Product - L'oreal Paris Elnett Satin Supreme Hold
Price - I think it was about €6 which is a bit expensive for hairspray but it is worth it.
What did I think? - I love this hairspray. It holds your hair without making it hard. It also brushes out which is amazing.
Would I buy again? - Yes without a doubt!

Product - Girlz Only Dry Shampoo
Price - €1.99
What did I think? - LOVE this dry shampoo. I find it's the best dry shampoo out there and is only €1.99!
Would I buy again? -  YES!

Product - Percy & Reed Splendidly Silky Moisturising Conditioner
Price - Free with Glamour Magazine (I think it's about €15 to buy)
What did I think? - I wasn't impressed with this product at all. It did no more for my hair than my usual €1.45 conditioner from Alberto Balsam.
Would I buy again? - Not a chance

Product -  Revlon ColourStay in 110 Ivory
Price - €10 from shop beside Argos in The Ilac Centre (It used to be in Georges Street Arcade)
What did I think? - It's the perfect shade for my milk bottle skin. Love it.
